I Speak Flowers™The florist’s slogan

I Speak Flowers™ is a phrase only a real flower shop can say. It is backed by standards written by real florists, and by a free window decal, from the World Cut Flower Commission (WCFC). Every shop that meets the standards is listed free, so customers can tell a real flower shop. Not a wire service. Not an association. This time, WORLDWIDE!

Only a florist can define what a florist is.

You cannot buy flowers here. No order passes through us and no money does either. We take no cut and we favour nobody — not a wire service, not an order gatherer, not an association, not a grower, wholesaler or hard goods supplier. Our only job is foot traffic and phone calls going straight to the shop, where the shop owns the customer.

This matters now because of AI. Search gave you a page to climb. AI might come back with one name instead. The trade needs one place that says which businesses are really flower shops — qualified on training and skill. Zero sponsors.

This industry calls a lot of things a flower shop — a supermarket case, a gas station bucket, a website that never touches a stem. So we are asking florists to write it down: educated, trained, stocking fresh flowers and speaking flowers 100% of the time.

Industry Opportunity

Something new had to exist.

No segment of this industry can be the one that verifies florists. A grower, a wholesaler, a wire service, a marketplace, an association — each speaks for someone with a stake in the sale, or for everyone at once. So something new had to exist: impartial about who qualifies, owned by nobody in the transaction, built for flower shops alone. Florists decide what it says.

Florists

You write the definition.

Not us. Florists write what counts as a flower shop, and members are asked first about what the marketing says and where it runs. A definition florists did not write is one no florist will stand behind.

Growers

Your name, where it sells.

The Cut Flower App is being built to carry grower brands to the florists and staff handling their product every day. We want your name on what you grew.

Wholesalers

An open shop is an account.

A flower shop closing costs you a customer who bought variety and knew what to do with it. We are trying to slow that down. Nothing we do competes with you.

Everyone Else in the Trade

We are not after your business.

We take no orders and no commission, and we will not favour one company over another — not a wire service, not an association, not an educator. We promote flower shops. That is the entire job.

What We Are Building

One list. Two phases.

I Speak Flowers is getting its own site: one place where a customer types in a postal code and only real flower shops come back. Not order gatherers. Not grocery departments. Real shops, measured against a definition florists wrote.

Join the Movement

Your shop is probably already on it.

We built the first version of the list from public records, so most flower shops are on it before anyone signs up. We are holding small I Speak Flowers meetings area by area — see the list, ask what you want, and pick up your door decal if your shop qualifies. Tell us where you are and we will let you know when one is near you.
